Radical Infrastructures For and Through the Humanities – An RJ Program Proposal

During the last month Patrik Svensson at Umeå University and UCLA has worked hard at a program proposal for the Swedish funding agency RJ. Patrik has done most of the work – but I have help out on more than one occasion. The research program puts infrastructure at the center for the development of the humanities, and suggests that the humanities have a capacity to challenge, resist and reshape infrastructures. The program brings together 15 researchers from 10 disciplines in four countries, and sets out to do so through critiquing infrastructure, making experimental interventions and new scholarship, as well as imagining what the humanities can be and how humanistic infrastructure building together with others can make the world a better place. Patrik has published more info on his blog.
